BASF to sponsor and present at 106th American Oil Chemists Society Annual Meeting
ISELIN, N.J., May 1, 2015 -- BASF will sponsor and participate in the 106th American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) Meeting and Expo, May 3 - 6 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. Michael Paul, BASF Global Product Technology Manager, Oleochemicals will present during two short courses:
- Catalytic hydrogenation of fats and oils, on Saturday, May 2
- New innovations in edible oil hydrogenation: Low nickel and high-speed catalysts, on Sunday, May 3
In addition, Radu Craciun, BASF Global Product Technology Manager, Oleochemicals will present “Clay based materials for bleaching oil and metal removal” on Sunday, May 3. Paul will present “Industrial pathway to bio-based MPG: The BASF glycerol to 1,2-propanediol process” during the Industry Session on Monday, May 4.
The AOCS Annual Meeting and Expo is the premier global science and business forum on fats, oils, surfactants, lipids and related materials.
