Ammonia Destruction Catalysts

BASF’s innovative family of ammonia destruction catalysts includes patented catalysts for controlling ammonia emissions from natural gas fired turbines and stationary engines as well as coal fired power plants.

On natural gas fired turbines and stationary engines, the NOxCAT AD Series 100 Ammonia Destruction Catalyst consistently achieves high levels of ammonia conversion. These catalysts have the potential to reduce ammonia and NOx.

The NOxCAT AD Series 200 catalyst has been tested on a bituminous coal fired power plant slip stream. The data reveals high levels of ammonia conversion to N2 and H2O with the conversion of SO2 to SO3 within the error of measurement. The catalyst is also able to control NOx emissions.

NOxCAT AD Series 300 Ammonia Destruction Catalyst consistently achieves high levels of ammonia conversion. These catalysts have the potential to reduce ammonia and NOx, and also control CO emissions.
