Looking for a solution for aircraft cabin components subjected to high levels of abuse? Check out BASF's FST Compliant Ultramid polyamides. Or are you looking for top-notch quality and service for your ozone converters?

Whatever your aviation goals are, we can help. We invite you to contact BASF’s Aerospace Team today to challenge our capabilities and to see our broad portfolio of materials and technologies. That’s because BASF develops creative and innovative solutions to meet any challenges you might face. With BASF, you receive the benefit of a powerful global organization, leveraging the strength and talent required to put you on the path to success.

BASF offers a broad portfolio of aerospace materials and technologies that provide unique solutions across a wide range of applications, including cabin interiors, seating components, secondary structural materials, additive manufacturing, performance additives and pigments, coatings and sealants, fuel and lubricant solutions, flame retardants and fire protection.

Since 1980, BASF has been the leading supplier of ozone removal systems for Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream, Dassault, and many other aircraft. BASF offers technology to reduce both harmful ozone and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in aircraft cabin air. This technology improves air quality by removing certain hydrocarbon compounds responsible for unpleasant odors, such as jet fuel smell. Sources of these odors include lubricant leaks and on-ground maintenance activities.

Aviation and Aerospace Solutions

We also offer technology to remove ozone in Fuel Tank Inerting System also known as On-Board Inert Gas Generating Systems, which require an ozone converter to protect the membrane inside the Air Separation Module from decomposition by ozone.

BASF’s worldwide service couples industry leading quality with short lead-times. Our repair services can increase the life of ozone converters to decrease total cost-per-hour over the service life of an aircraft.

BASF’s Deoxo ozone converters are now fitted to many commercial passenger aircraft models, including the B737, B747, B757, B767, A300-A320 family, A330, A340 as well as a number of regional and corporate jet configurations

Aircraft Cabin Air Quality Solutions

For nearly 40 years, BASF has met the ever-evolving challenge of supplying optimum cabin-air quality, with our Deoxo™ Ozone and Ozone+VOC converters—found worldwide on commercial passenger planes, regional jets, and corporate jets.

Factory New – OEM Ozone Converters

Passengers and crew expect to fly in a well-maintained aircraft that has a healthy and clean cabin air environment. Ozone converter catalysts are key to ensuring healthy and clean cabin air.

BASF is the original catalyst technology engineering, design, manufacturing and MRO company for Deoxo ozone converters. It is important to ensure that each and every flight is a safe one, including regularly maintaining the BASF Deoxo ozone converters so that the crew and passengers are not exposed to unhealthy air.

Purchase your Factory New Deoxo ozone converters from BASF to avoid potential risks such as:

  • Unclean aircraft cabin air putting crew and passenger health in jeopardy
  • Non-OEM authorized serviced converters that do not fully meet aircraft manufacturer established CMM standards
  • Loss of original catalyst technology, masking, deactivation, and warranty through third party re-coating

Avoid these risks by having your Deoxo ozone converters sourced and repaired directly from the OEM.
