Protecting the air we breathe from harmful emissions through innovation. BASF leverages unsurpassed expertise in the development of emission control technologies for a wide range of market applications. Did you know there can be 5x more air pollution inside your house than outside of it? Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Understanding and controlling common pollutants indoors can help reduce risk of indoor health concerns. BASF offers the widest portfolio of adsorbent technologies for a broad spectrum of applications in industries such as refining, petrochemical, chemical, and gas processing. The BASF portfolio includes proprietary alumina, silica, alumino-silica gels and a broad line of base metal oxide guard bed materials, including the PuriStar family. At BASF, our Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) catalyst and additive offerings together with our expert technical services build the right solution to create value within any unit’s constraints. The increasing demand for energy and resources is what drives us to develop more sustainable solutions, while addressing the need for energy efficiency and conservation. We partner with those who share our commitment to a healthier, more natural and more affordable future for energy and resources. We are constantly improving the quality and reliability of our products, and strive for even greater efficiency and productivity. BASF Natural Gas experts have a diverse portfolio of products to custom design a solution and help you meet your Natural Gas treatment needs. BASF has been serving the natural gas treatment market for over 60 years. With more than 150 years of experience in metal sourcing, trading, and hedging, we’ve built tangible results for our industrial customers. With more than 100 years of experience in recycling materials, BASF’s end-to-end recycling program is known and trusted around the globe. As a leader in precious-metal thermocouples for many years, BASF recently applied its technological expertise to optical-based temperature measurement. BASF Sorbead® Air adsorbents are alumino silicate gels in the form of hard, spherical beads. They are essential in removing water from compressed air so that the efficiency of chemical processes is not compromised. Sorbead® Air is the most energy saving and environmentally friendly adsorbent available for the air compression industry. Innovative, step-change technology with dual-purpose performance: removal of heavy hydrocarbons and water to cryogenic specifications in a single unit. Stationary Emissions Control Catalysts

At BASF, we understand that our customers must not only comply with environmental standards, but also must keep their operations in service, readily and cost effectively. To successfully meet this challenge, BASF offers years of experience developing innovative solutions that deliver proven results. We are committed to providing our customers with cost-effective solutions to the most complex emissions control problems. We are constantly developing new technologies to meet ever more stringent emission requirements to help our customers to be more successful.

Thousands of our high performance, low maintenance environmental catalysts are in use around the world, helping industrial leaders in power generation, process industries and other applications, reduce pollutants. Our solutions include CO oxidation catalysts (CO catalysts) to remove carbon monoxide (CO), VOC catalysts (VOC oxidation catalysts) to remove Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), SCR catalysts (Selective Catalytic Reduction catalysts) to remove NOx (nitrogen oxides).

BASF is the leading oxidation catalyst supplier to the power generation industry.

We have been servicing the power generation industry for over 20 years with over 700 units operating or under construction. BASF customers value our experience and technical expertise as the premier supplier of oxidation catalyst solutions to the power generation industry.

Our breadth of experience encompasses virtually every make, model and turbine configuration. Our R&D, application and project engineering staff expertise ensure maximum performance for both new source applications and replacement catalyst for existing applications.

Nearly all of the power generation oxidation catalysts that we have supplied are still running. More than 300 units are six to ten years old and over 200 units are greater than ten years old. No one else in the industry approaches the durability or number of installations of BASF oxidation catalysts for the power generation industry.
