Selexsorb® Activated Aluminas

PuriStar® and ProsorbTM Metal Oxide-based products

Besides offering products for olefin purification, BASF also offers a wide range of products for oxygen removal or removal with the help of oxygen. These products are referred to as DeOxo catalysts.

Selexsorb®

Selexsorb CD is custom-formulated to provide optimum adsorption of a number of polar compounds including: water, oxygenated hydrocarbons (alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, ethers, peroxides), mercaptans, sulfides and nitrogen-based molecules (ammonia, amines, nitriles).

PuriStar®

PuriStar R3-16 is a high-efficiency CuZn catalyst which is tailor-made for the purification of polymer-grade ethylene.

Prosorb

Prosorb N, used as sulfur guard beds for naphtha reformers and isomerization units, is a next generation, nickel-based adsorbent which provides significant performance improvement for removal of trace levels of various sulfur species.

Applications for Adsorbents for Olefin Purification

Olefin purification adsorbents can be found in various areas such as refineries for ethylene recovery and propylene recovery, steam crackers for cracked gas purification, and down to the consumer level for EPDM plants, butanol plants, among others.
