BASF Catalyst H0-43 S3 was developed for the liquid phase selective hydrogenation of butadiene in C4 cuts, e. g. BASF’s SELOP® C4 process.
The catalyst shows very low isomerisation activity while giving low over-hydrogenation. It is applied for high butene-1 production from feed streams with high butadiene contentse.g. raw C4 from an ethylene cracker. Furthermore, the catalyst can be applied in the hydrogenation of RAW C4 feeds in order to remove excessed of Vinylacetylene.
