O4-29HiFlexII
O4-29HiFlexII (O4-29HFII) is designed for the oxidation of naphthalene (naph) or a mixture of naph and o-xylene (o-x) to phthalic anhydride (PA). The 4-layer O4-29HFII provides highest PA yield in mixed feed PA plant operation and maximum flexibility with the o-x content in the feed gas between 0% and 65%. The O4-29HFII new selective layer provides a better distribution of the hot spot temperature, lowers the total oxidation reactions in the hot spot region, and increases the selectivity to C8 intermediates. The optimized carrier geometry results in a low pressure drop over the catalyst bed.
